Education has become a target for ransomware because bad actors know we’ re insured and so, in many cases, education providers will just pay up to protect their data if they’ re targeted.”
Recent cybersecurity scares involving platforms like Canvas, disrupted by the hacking group ShinyHunters, have only reinforced how easily student and staff data can be compromised.
