TRUSS DATA CENTERS
“ We engineer to the workload and price to the engineering. Customers who want concurrent maintainability can have it. Customers who want maximum megawatts for minimum dollars can have that instead. What they can’ t have anywhere else is the timeline.”
Looking ahead, Jon expects more legacy telecoms and enterprise facilities to change hands as owners exit older assets while AI demand continues to grow. He also expects connectivity to become a bigger constraint. Some sites may have substantial power available but lack the fibre required to support AI workloads.
“ If you’ re 20 miles from fibre and it’ s US $ 1,000 a metre to bury, that soon adds up. The fibre operators will build to us.”
For TRUSS, the opportunity is therefore not simply finding old buildings. It is finding the combination of live power, connectivity, suitable structures and engineering potential that can be converted into AI capacity quickly.“ The next two years belong to whoever can deliver power fastest,” says Jon.“ Not the biggest campus, not the shiniest render. Live megawatts. We think there are hundreds of buildings across America hiding real capacity, and the 14MW sites with a path to 28MW are the best value in the market, because almost nobody else is looking at them.
“ TRUSS is built for exactly this moment: find the power, do the engineering, and get customers live while everyone else is still waiting for a utility study.”
