Currently, Plata’ s staff navigate around 10 different tools to perform data-related tasks: Apache Airflow for scheduling automated data processes, Snowflake’ s own worksheet interface for writing database queries in the structured query language SQL, Tableau and Superset for dashboards, and others. Consolidating these into one AI-assisted environment is among Ivan’ s primary objectives for the year ahead.
Ivan continues:“ We want just one window for any task – whether that’ s a dashboard, a report or a shadow process – for any user across the company.”
The AI integration extends to internal support. Rather than building a conventional IT helpdesk for the data warehouse team, Plata has deployed an AI agent backed by a knowledge base to answer routine queries from internal users. Currently, the system handles around 20 % of incoming questions. Ivan wants that figure at 80 %.
