PSCI
LAUNCHING THE SUPPLIER PARTNERSHIP PROGRAMME
Launched in 2024, the vision behind the Supplier Partnerships programme is to work alongside and recognise critical partners who share a vision of excellence in Pharmaceutical and Healthcare manufacturing. Lucy says:“ Supplier Partners are our first option for dialogue, feedback and collaborative working. They commit to the PSCI mission and to industry transparency, adding site audits to our platform and standing alongside us at key events.”
PSCI already has 30 Supplier Partners, and growing.“ We don’ t simply want to promote responsible supply chain management; we want to build genuine, two-way partnerships with suppliers. It is really important for us to get feedback as to how we can improve,” she explains.
Looking ahead For PSCI, the next 12 to 18 months will be about scale and implementation.“ We have got to a point where we are doing a really good job, but we feel like we can do more to support delivery and output,” says Lucy.
Updated PSCI Principles will be launched at the end of 2026 in collaboration with its members, and a refreshed three-year strategy in 2027.
“ We tend to work in three-year cycles,” says Lucy.“ The last strategy refresh was a big one; and credit to my predecessors, some of whom are still on the Board, they really shook things up for the better. And we’ re focusing on how we deliver.”
With its‘ delivery’ already taking shape structurally, PSCI has launched a Projects Committee to focus resources on high-impact initiatives which perhaps fall outside of the organisation’ s core efforts but have huge potential impact when addressed collectively, as an industry. Alongside this, the organisation has launched a Supplier Partnership programme. Lucy concludes:“ One area I’ m particularly focused on is ensuring PSCI’ s operating model continues to be fit for purpose. As we’ ve grown significantly in recent years, it’ s important that we periodically step back and ask whether we’ re organised in the best way to deliver against our mission and support our members. That’ s something we’ ll be considering as part of the next strategy review.”
