Vertice APAC team members at PASA Conference
The practical effect of Vertice’ s P2P is that“ by the time an invoice reaches P2P, it’ s not a mystery to be decoded”. Accounts payable can open the actual contract and negotiation history and check an invoice against what was really agreed and why, without chasing anyone for an explanation.
But the context Vertice’ s P2P provides is external as well as internal. After already proving itself in I2P, Eldar says Vertice’ s pricing intelligence dataset can be just as powerful in P2P. Vertice can see how a vendor’ s pricing tends to move, so a budget can be built on where costs are heading rather than what they cost last year. It can show where vendors have a history of flexing on payment terms, making working capital something a team can proactively optimise rather than simply report on, and flag the vendors worth pushing for early-payment discounts.
The appetite for AI, he adds, mirrors what Vertice sees in I2P. Customers are using agents to draw on the entire history of invoices, vendors’ current and future pricing and their terms, and Eldar says there is arguably more creativity in what is being asked of Vertice’ s AI in P2P than in I2P.
Early results in accounts payable Eldar says the product is out and delivering. Just like with Ana, it has been the breadth of impact that has struck Eldar. As is to be expected, a primary use case has been invoice reconciliation, matching the invoice to the contract terms and negotiation history. Additionally, finance teams have discovered longer payment terms that they were previously unaware of, identified contracts to re-negotiate for better terms and early-payment discounts, and budgets have been dynamically rewritten around a clearer understanding of vendor pricing changes.
Because of this variety, Vertice has observed that for more than 80 % of suppliers run through Vertice’ s P2P, customers have unlocked faster payment cycles, better terms or sharper cost forecasts.
“ Every generation of P2P until now was designed to pay invoices. Ours is the first to be built and equipped to give them total context.”
