ALIGNED
Modularity is key to Aligned’ s data centre platform.“ The beautiful thing about our next-generation facilities is that they are largely manufactured offsite,” Andrew says.“ The vast majority of it is put together in a factory and then shipped onsite, which gives us a huge advantage on time to delivery, quality assurance and personnel safety when it is built in a factory versus stick built.” Andrew says he likes to call it production rather than construction. Rather than serving as a static, single-point product launch, Aligned’ s facilities act as an adaptable, long-term evolutionary framework. The company’ s adaptive infrastructure allows clients to modify, pull out or add modules over a 10-to-30-year lifecycle as technology evolves.
Being a good neighbour One of the core tenets Andrew highlights is about being a good neighbour.“ Working with the community, spending time in the local community and engaging with local stakeholders to align our development strategy with community priorities,” he says.“ When entering a new market, we deliberately align our site selection with local priorities. This is why a large portion of our portfolio is built on revitalising brownfield sites that communities actively want repurposed – bringing back careers and spurring economic development.”
Getting that community support is important for Aligned. As Andrew explains, once that local partnership
