The challenges

Faced with many individual and partly obsolete systems at their ‘ end of life ’, Hilcona had no comprehensive MES available for all areas . As a result , the company experienced a lack of inventory transparency and traceability , failure to exploit potential productivity improvements , and a lack of ability to exploit process optimisation .
