Direct-to-chip liquid cooling and electrical fit-out deployed at a hyperscale facility in North Carolina mix of tenants and applications. But Compu Dynamics’ legacy of innovation, evolution and excellence has allowed the company to thrive as this change unfolds.
More than two decades of mission-critical experience Compu Dynamics traces its roots to 2002, when data centre construction was a niche pursuit rather than an industry in its own right.“ We’ ve been a data centre company since day one,” Steve says.
The company built its first project for the federal government before the rise of colocation and cloud computing gave it a wider customer base, and it developed in-house electrical, mechanical and lowvoltage capability along the way, rather than relying on subcontracted trades That history has shaped what Steve regards as the company’ s core discipline: speed and safety without error.
“ Experience is valuable,” Steve says.“ Knowledge cannot be replaced or commoditised. Firms sometimes think what we do is easy, and they learn quickly that it’ s not.
“ In AI data centres, we are advancing it to the next level and faster. We are still installing power feeders, but more of them. We are installing the same fibre optic cable, but larger bundles with more terminations.
“ The scale and timeframes have changed the most. Projects are much, much larger, and schedules are much shorter.”
