COMPU DYNAMICS
Delivering an end-to-end turnkey modular solution Compu Dynamics Modular, CDM in short, was formed to extend that experience into offsite manufacturing, but Steve is candid that the company arrived at modular construction later than some of its peers.
“ CDM was frankly a little bit late to the game when it comes to power modules and utility modules,” he says, pointing out that modular UPS and switchgear enclosures have sat outside data centres for years.
The opportunity he identified with CDM was much broader:“ What we saw as an opportunity for CDM is that nobody was modularising the white space as part of a complete, end-to-end turnkey solution.”
Rather than just delivering standalone enclosures, CDM integrates the entire infrastructure lifecycle, from design and manufacturing to final construction and deployment, into a single, seamless delivery model.
Building this comprehensive infrastructure in a factory rather than in the field, he argues, is not simply a cost exercise but a practical response to a labour market that cannot keep expanding indefinitely. Compu Dynamics has adapted to this industry shift by investing capital and opening a dedicated modular manufacturing facility in Odessa, Texas at the start of this year.“ That changed everything.
