One of the big issues for the seafood sector is overfishing. We do a lot of work with our partners in assessing the status of the fisheries which we source from, to make sure that we’ re in balance.
We have invested around US $ 100m into the management and improvement of fisheries over the last 10 years. Being the first to take a step like that isn’ t an easy position to be in, but that work has now provided a much larger supply of MSC-certified tuna for the whole industry. In 2025, more than 99 % of the tuna we sourced came from fisheries with MSC certification or on a credible pathway to get certified. As an industry leader, we have a responsibility to help ensure every step in the supply chain is taken responsibly.
